Wood Saint Francis of Assisi Story Garland
Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology (and more!), was born in Italy around 1181-1182. After a wild youth and a brief career as a soldier, Francis had a conversion experience that inspired him to renounce his family's wealth and devote his life to God.
This garland comes with 7 wooden pieces that tell the life story of St. Francis (all have been sanded smooth) - 1 "Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace" banner with a San Damiano crucifix attached, 2 nature banners with a dove attached to each, a St. Francis with stigmata, the small replica Italian church St. Francis was asked by God to rebuild, a squirrel, and a wolf (from the story of St. Francis taming a wild wolf to save a small frightened town).
Comes with a 5 foot long jute string for hanging.
